Scanner is London based artist Robin Rimbaud. Born in Southfields, London, Rimbaud took his stage name from the devices he used in his early stage work and performances. Using indeterminate radio signals in his live performances, he creates an eclectic mix of electronic signals to create his avant-garde approach to music.

As well as a music producer, Rimbaud is also known for his work as a writer, multi-media artist and critic. He has worked on multiple different projects, ranging from CD releases as Scanner, to collaborative works and has also been commissioned to write pieces for Ballet and also new car launches. As Scanner, Rimbaud has released a vast catalogue of music, some of the highlights are: Cystic (1999), Nemesis (2002) and In-Between (2011).
